Connect Google Analytics 4 (read-only)

Ad platforms report their own conversions; Google Analytics shows what happened on the site. Connecting GA4 lets AdAce Ads join both views per campaign.

What it does

You pick a GA4 property for a client. The service reads sessions, key events and revenue broken down by utm_id and campaign, and matches them to ad campaigns. The nightly collection keeps the data fresh; you can refresh it manually on the Tracking page.

The connection is read-only. Creating key events or properties is a separate, explicit action in the GA4 setup wizard that always asks for confirmation.

Why it helps

  • See cost per key event and ROAS by GA4 data, not only by ad platform data.
  • Spot campaigns that bring clicks but no engaged sessions.
  • Read-only by default — no surprises in analytics settings.

How to set it up

  1. Open Tracking for the client and press “Connect Google Analytics”.
  2. Sign in with Google if asked and choose the property.
  3. Wait for the nightly collection or press “Refresh”.
  4. Open the GA4 report to see sessions, key events and revenue per campaign.

Good to know

  • Campaign matching relies on utm_id; use UTM templates to make it reliable.
  • You can connect another property at any time with “Connect another property”.
