Deactivate a team member instantly
When someone leaves the team, access must end immediately — everywhere. Deactivation does it in one transaction.
What it does
Deactivation removes the membership and client assignments, closes all of the person's sessions, revokes their API keys and OAuth tokens for this workspace, and expires their unfinished proposals so they can never execute.
History stays: the audit log keeps referring to the person, so past actions remain accountable. The response shows how many sessions, keys and proposals were closed.
Why it helps
- No lingering access after someone leaves.
- AI clients connected by that person stop working immediately.
- Complete history preserved for audits.
How to set it up
- Open Team and find the person.
- Choose deactivate and confirm with the second factor.
- Review the summary of closed sessions and revoked keys.
Good to know
- The last owner cannot be deactivated.
- The person keeps access to other workspaces where they are still a member.
