Google and Meta ad alerts in Telegram, with one topic per client
When an ad account breaks at night, the team should know before the client does. This guide is for agencies that want ad alerts where people already talk, in a Telegram group, organized so that each client's events stay in their own topic.
What it does
Email is a poor home for urgent ad alerts. Messages land in personal inboxes, so only one person sees them; they mix with newsletters and invoices; forwarding to a colleague creates copies nobody updates; and phones often batch email notifications. An agency needs the opposite: one shared place where the whole team sees the same alert, can tell who is handling it and can discuss it right under the message. A chat app with push notifications fits that pattern, and Telegram groups with topics add the missing piece: a separate thread for each client inside one group.
Alerts help only if people trust them. Send only events someone must act on: a change waiting for approval, a data collection that failed, a campaign with no impressions, a disapproved ad, a new lead. Keep routine statistics in reports. Give every client a topic so a busy account does not drown out a quiet one, and agree who reacts to what and how fast. Treat the group as a work tool: add only the staff who need it, remove people when they leave and keep customers' personal data out of the chat. Review the noise every month and switch off event types nobody acts on.
AdAce Ads sends its notifications to Telegram. In “Settings” → “Security & notifications” → “Telegram notifications”, an owner or admin presses “Connect a group” and picks a group in Telegram; it is best to turn on topics in the group first. The bot asks for admin rights, and “Manage topics” is needed so it can create a topic for each client. Once the bot confirms the connection in the group, the card in the service updates by itself and the client topics are created. Alerts can also go to a personal chat instead, and “Send a test” checks delivery at any time.
What arrives is what an agency acts on: proposals waiting for approval with a countdown, data collection failures, monitor incidents such as a campaign without impressions or a rising cost per conversion, anomalies and spend pace, and new leads from client sites. Default monitors cover no impressions for a set number of days, cost per lead up 40% week over week and disapproved ads, with thresholds set by the owner. Each lead arrives with the buttons “wrote”, “interview”, “hired”, “not a fit” and the candidate's language, so the status is set right in the chat and appears in the service.
The chat informs; it does not replace approval. A proposal announced in Telegram is still approved in the service with password and second factor, so a lost phone or a shared group does not let anyone change ad accounts. Lead messages carry only technical marks such as the channel, the page and campaign tags, not names or phone numbers, which suits a group chat. Every event type has its own checkbox, so you can switch off what your team does not need without disconnecting the bot.
Why it helps
- The whole team sees the same alert in one place.
- One topic per client keeps each account's history readable.
- Lead statuses are set with one tap in the chat.
- Approval still requires password and second factor in the service.
How to set it up
- In Telegram, create a group for the team and turn on topics.
- In AdAce Ads open “Settings” → “Security & notifications” → “Telegram notifications” and press “Connect a group”.
- Choose the group and grant the bot admin rights, including “Manage topics”.
- Wait for the bot to confirm the connection, then press “Send a test”.
- Untick the event types your team does not act on.
Good to know
- Only an owner or admin can connect Telegram.
- If the bot is removed from the group, the service shows a warning and alerts stop until you connect the group again.
- In a group without topics, all alerts arrive in the main chat.
