Undo: restore the previous state of an executed change

Mistakes happen. For reversible changes, AdAce Ads offers “Restore previous state” — a new change with the opposite content that goes through the same checks.

What it does

Undo is available for budgets, statuses at every level, ad set budgets, bid strategies, keyword statuses and bids, ad group bids, Meta targeting, Google campaign targeting, Google audiences, extension removals and the final URL suffix. An owner or admin confirms it with the password and second factor.

Undo is possible only while the object is still in the state the original change set; otherwise it would describe something that is no longer true. Negative keywords and extension additions have no automatic undo.

Why it helps

  • Recover from mistakes in seconds.
  • Undo is itself verified and logged.
  • No guesswork about the previous values — they are recorded.

How to set it up

  1. Open Approvals or Operations and find the executed change.
  2. Open it and press “Restore previous state”.
  3. Confirm with password and one-time code.
  4. Check the new operation's result.

Good to know

  • If a keyword had no own bid before, undo cannot remove the new bid; clear it in Google Ads.
  • Undo after someone changed the object elsewhere is refused to avoid overwriting their change.
