Change a Google Ads campaign budget, pause or enable it

Budget and status are the most frequent changes in any account. In AdAce Ads they take seconds — and still go through limits, approval and verification.

What it does

From a campaign you propose a new daily budget or a status change (pause or enable). The proposal shows the current value read from the account, the new value, the percentage change and whether it fits the client's limits.

After approval the executor reads the campaign again, refuses if someone changed it in Google Ads meanwhile, writes the new value and reads it back. Shared budgets that serve several campaigns are refused on purpose, because changing them would affect other campaigns.

Why it helps

  • Fast everyday changes with a full audit trail.
  • Limits stop accidental large increases.
  • Reversible: undo restores the previous budget or status.
  • Can be applied automatically under the client's auto policy.

How to set it up

  1. Open Campaigns and choose a Google campaign.
  2. Press “Propose a change” and select Budget or Status.
  3. Enter the new daily budget or choose pause/enable; add a reason.
  4. Submit for approval; an approver confirms with password and second factor.
  5. Check the result on Operations; use undo if needed.

Good to know

  • Budget and status are among the kinds that the auto policy may apply within limits.
  • The daily budget cap of the client can block increases above a set amount.
