Change the default bid of a Google ad group

The ad group default bid is the quickest lever for a whole group of keywords. AdAce Ads changes it with the same safety as any other write.

What it does

The current default bid and the campaign's bidding strategy are read live. You enter a new bid; the proposal shows before and after. Keywords without their own bid will use the new value.

The executor checks that the ad group still has the approved “before” bid, writes the new one and reads it back.

Why it helps

  • Adjust a whole ad group with one change.
  • Clear before/after for the approver.
  • Reversible with undo.

How to set it up

  1. Open Campaigns, choose a Search campaign and “Propose a change”.
  2. Open the “Keywords” tab, pick the ad group and edit the ad group bid.
  3. Submit for approval.

Good to know

  • Effective under manual CPC; automated strategies ignore it (you will see a warning).
  • Always requires human approval.
