Google audiences on ad groups: remarketing and Customer Match
Audience lists let you bid more for people who already know you, or exclude recent buyers. AdAce Ads manages audience lists on Google ad groups with full review.
What it does
The editor shows the account's active audience lists — remarketing, Customer Match, GA4 audiences and others — with sizes for Search and networks. For each ad group you include lists with a bid adjustment from −90% to +900% or exclude them.
The ad group's audience mode is shown: in “Observation” lists only adjust bids; in “Targeting” ads show only to the included lists, so adding a list narrows reach — the editor warns you. Only the difference is written, and undo restores previous lists.
Why it helps
- Bid higher for warm audiences, exclude converters.
- Clear warnings prevent accidental reach loss.
- Reversible and fully logged.
How to set it up
- Open Campaigns, choose a Google campaign and “Propose a change”.
- Open the “Ad group audiences” tab and pick an ad group.
- Set each list to Include (with an optional adjustment) or Exclude.
- Submit for approval.
Good to know
- The audience mode itself is changed in Google Ads.
- Lists too small for Search are marked.
