How to create a Google Search campaign (created paused)

Launching a new Search campaign starts with a safe shell: a paused campaign with a budget, created directly in the Google Ads account from AdAce Ads, the AI analyst or your AI client.

What it does

The campaign is created paused, without ad groups and ads, so it cannot spend anything. You set the name, daily budget and the required declaration about EU political advertising. The service checks that the name is unique in the account and reads the campaign back to confirm it is paused with the right budget.

After creation, add ad groups and responsive search ads (also paused). Enabling the campaign is a separate status proposal that goes through approval.

Why it helps

  • Build campaigns without switching to Google Ads.
  • Nothing can spend money until an approved enablement.
  • The same flow for people, the AI analyst and MCP clients.

How to set it up

  1. Open Campaigns and press “New paused campaign”.
  2. Choose the Google account, the Search type, name and daily budget.
  3. Answer the EU political advertising question and create.
  4. Add ad groups and ads in “Ad groups & ads”.
  5. Propose enabling the campaign when it is ready.

Good to know

  • Owners and admins can create campaigns; managers can propose changes to them.
  • Creations count toward the client's writes-per-hour limit.
