Add negative keywords in Google Ads from search terms
Negative keywords stop your ads from showing for irrelevant searches. AdAce Ads builds them from real search terms with spend and no conversions.
What it does
In the search terms panel, candidates are terms with spend and zero conversions for the period that are not excluded yet. You select the ones to exclude, choose exact or phrase match, and the service creates one negative keyword proposal per campaign.
The Negative Keyword Miner agent can do the same on a schedule: it looks for terms with enough clicks and spend but no conversions and proposes exact negatives with an expected effect on spend.
Why it helps
- Stop paying for searches that never convert.
- Evidence for every exclusion — spend and clicks per term.
- Eligible for the auto policy within limits.
How to set it up
- Open Analytics for a Google account and the “Search terms” panel.
- Filter to candidates and review each term.
- Tick terms, choose exact or phrase match and create the proposal.
- Approve it or let the client's auto policy apply it.
Good to know
- Negative keywords have no one-click undo — remove them in Google Ads if needed; review brand and product terms carefully.
- Terms longer than 80 characters are skipped by the agent.
