Daily budget cap for Google and Facebook ads per client
Some clients have a hard spending ceiling. The daily budget cap makes sure no proposal — from anyone — sets a daily budget above it.
What it does
The cap is set in the account currency units. By default it is 50, so a new client is protected from large budgets until you deliberately raise it. Any budget proposal above the cap is refused.
Raising the cap or removing it entirely is a sensitive action and requires the second factor. Lowering it is always allowed.
Why it helps
- A hard ceiling that protects new clients from mistakes.
- No surprise overspending from agents or automations.
- Changes to the ceiling itself are protected.
How to set it up
- Open the client's write policy.
- Enter the maximum daily budget or clear it to remove the cap.
- Confirm with the second factor if you raise or remove it.
Good to know
- The cap checks daily budgets, not total monthly spend — use budget pacing for monthly targets.
- Currency is that of the ad account.
