Writes to existing campaigns: an owner switch per account

Your existing campaigns carry history and revenue. AdAce Ads never writes to them until the workspace owner explicitly enables it for a specific ad account.

What it does

Three independent conditions must hold for a write to an existing campaign: the ad account is on the server's list of accounts allowed for writes, the owner has turned on “Writes to clients' existing campaigns” for that account with the second factor, and the client's policy allows the change. Each is checked both in the database and in the application.

Campaigns the service created itself are writable without the switch. Shared Google budgets are refused, because a change would affect other campaigns. Turning the switch off stops queued changes for that account.

Why it helps

  • Start safely: explore and propose without risk to live campaigns.
  • Enable writes account by account as trust grows.
  • A clear, logged owner decision for every account.

How to set it up

  1. Open Integrations and find the ad account card.
  2. As the owner, turn on writes to existing campaigns and enter the one-time code.
  3. Review the client's policy level shown next to the switch.
  4. Propose changes to existing campaigns as usual.

Good to know

  • Enabling writes changes nothing in the ads by itself.
  • On clients with the auto policy, reversible changes within limits will apply to existing campaigns of enabled accounts.
