Publish tracking tags through Google Tag Manager with rollback

Most tracking fixes end in Tag Manager. AdAce Ads prepares the exact changes in a new workspace, compiles them, shows you the plan and publishes only after you confirm.

What it does

The plan is built from the latest audit and the live container version. Depending on what is missing it adds: the Google tag with the client's G- ID, a lead click trigger for phone, messengers, email and data-cta buttons found on the site, the GA4 generate_lead event, the Google Ads conversion with its label, the conversion linker, and the Meta pixel base code and lead event. Existing tags are never changed or deleted.

Preparation compiles the workspace; if there is an error or a conflict, it is deleted with no trace. Publishing needs your password and second factor and is bound to the plan you saw. Rollback republishes the previous version if nobody has published since.

Why it helps

  • Professional GTM changes without a developer.
  • Nothing goes live without your explicit confirmation.
  • One-click rollback if something looks wrong.

How to set it up

  1. Grant Tag Manager access in Tracking (Google asks for container permissions).
  2. Run the audit and press “Show the change plan”.
  3. Review the tags and triggers, optionally choose the Meta event or form tracking.
  4. Prepare, then publish with your password and second factor; roll back if needed.

Good to know

  • The site must already have the Tag Manager code; installing it is a developer's task.
  • The Meta pixel is added without a consent banner — for EU and UK visitors the site must handle consent.
