Conversion tracking audit: Google tag, GA4, conversions and Meta pixel
Before you judge campaigns, make sure the website measures them. The tracking audit checks the real page and the published tag containers and explains every problem with a fix.
What it does
The service collects the client's sites from ad landing pages (or you add them manually), loads the page securely and parses published Tag Manager containers and Google tags. It then reads GA4 streams, links and key events, Google Ads auto-tagging and conversion actions with their tag labels, and the Meta pixels of the client's ad accounts.
Each check — page loads, Tag Manager present, lead buttons, GA4 receives data, lead event in GA4, key event, GA4 linked to Google Ads, Google Ads tag, Ads conversion on leads, conversion linker, auto-tagging, Meta pixel and lead event, consent mode — gets a status, an explanation and what to do, with a button when the platform can fix it.
Why it helps
- Find broken measurement in minutes instead of days of debugging.
- Plain explanations that a non-technical client can follow.
- Fix buttons lead straight to the automated setup.
How to set it up
- Open Tracking for the client and find “Website tracking audit”.
- Pick a site from the list or add one manually.
- Run the audit and review each check.
- Use the fix buttons: create GA4 resources, key events, conversions or a Tag Manager plan.
Good to know
- The audit reads the page HTML and the published containers; buttons added later by scripts are recognized only by attributes such as data-cta.
- One site can be checked every 20 seconds, up to 30 sites per hour per workspace; owners and admins run audits.
