Google final URL suffix through approvals
The fastest way to tag every click of a Google campaign is the final URL suffix. AdAce Ads sets it from the client's template through the regular approval flow.
What it does
From the UTM audit you press “Propose” for one campaign or propose for all. The current suffix comes from the imported structure; the new one is the rendered template. The suffix must contain only key=value pairs joined by &, with ValueTrack macros in braces, and no spaces, quotes, ? or #.
The executor compares the current suffix in Google Ads with the approved “before”, writes only the suffix field and reads it back. Undo restores the previous suffix or clears it if there was none.
Why it helps
- Consistent tagging across all campaigns in minutes.
- No manual copy-paste into Google Ads settings.
- Changes spend nothing, so the auto policy can apply them.
How to set it up
- Open Tracking → UTM audit for a Google account.
- Press “Propose” on a campaign or propose for all.
- Approve the proposals (or let auto policy apply them).
- Re-run the audit to see the ok status.
Good to know
- Ad group and ad suffixes override the campaign suffix; the audit lists such ads separately.
- Check GA4's setting for whether manual UTMs override auto-tagging (gclid).
