How to create a Facebook ad campaign with the right objective
Every Meta campaign starts with an objective and a declaration of special ad categories. AdAce Ads creates the campaign paused, with both fields set explicitly, so nothing is left to defaults.
What it does
Choose one of Meta's outcome objectives — Traffic, Leads, Sales, Engagement, Awareness or App promotion — and declare special ad categories (credit, employment, housing, social issues and politics, financial products) or explicitly none. Unknown values are rejected before the request reaches Meta.
The campaign is created paused with no ad sets, so it cannot spend. The name must be unique in the account, and the result is read back. Enabling later is an approved status change.
Why it helps
- Correct setup from the first click — no forgotten special categories.
- Safe by design: nothing runs until approved.
- Available from the app, the AI analyst and MCP clients.
How to set it up
- Open Campaigns and press “New paused campaign”.
- Choose a Meta ad account, enter the name and choose the objective.
- Select special ad categories or confirm none.
- Create the campaign, then add ad sets and ads.
Good to know
- Owners and admins create campaigns; the creation is logged with its origin (person or AI).
- Creations count toward the client's writes-per-hour limit.
