Meta Ads management

Facebook ads targeting basics: countries, age, gender, languages, Advantage+

The core audience defines who can see an ad set. AdAce Ads lets you set it when creating an ad set and change it later with a precise before and after.

What it does

Countries are selected by ISO code; age ranges from 13 to 65 when editing (18–65 when creating); gender can be all, men or women; languages are found with Meta's locale search, and an empty list means all languages. Advantage+ audience is an explicit on/off choice, so Meta's automatic expansion is never a surprise.

When editing, the current targeting is read live from Meta and only changed fields go into the proposal.

Why it helps

  • Clear, auditable audience settings for every ad set.
  • Explicit Advantage+ choice avoids unintended expansion.
  • Changes are reviewed and reversible.

How to set it up

  1. For a new ad set: set the audience in the creation form.
  2. For an existing one: Campaigns → “Propose a change” → “Ad set targeting”.
  3. Change countries, age, gender, languages or Advantage+ audience.
  4. Review the before/after and submit for approval.

Good to know

  • Geo with regions, cities or radiuses is edited in Ads Manager; the service refuses rather than oversimplifying it.
  • Targeting changes restart learning, so they always need human approval.
