Ad spend anomaly alerts with the campaigns behind them
Anomalies are the moments that need attention today. The service compares each day with a fair baseline and tells you which campaigns drove the change.
What it does
The baseline is the median of the same weekday over the previous four weeks: Sundays are compared with Sundays, not with Mondays. Four types are detected: spend spike, conversions drop, cost per conversion growth and CTR drop.
Minimum volumes keep small numbers quiet: median spend from 10 currency units, median conversions from 5, CTR only with at least 1,000 impressions. For each anomaly, the three campaigns with the biggest deviation from their own median are listed as contributors. Preliminary days are never used.
Why it helps
- Notice problems the same day, not at the end of the month.
- Know where to look: the top contributors are named.
- Weekday-aware baseline means fewer false alarms.
How to set it up
- Open Analytics and the “Anomalies” tab, or wait for the daily “Anomaly check” automation.
- Review the anomaly type, the deviation and the contributing campaigns.
- Open a contributing campaign and decide what to change.
- Optionally enable automatic reactions for the client's policy.
Good to know
- Contributors answer “through what”, not “why”; use the AI analyst to investigate causes.
- AI clients can call find_anomalies and get a card with the same data.
