Results and cost per result by the event that matters

“Conversions” can mean very different things. AdAce Ads counts results by the event the campaign optimizes for and shows cost per result on every level of the structure.

What it does

The result is chosen in a fixed order: the client's KPI event (for campaigns with a conversion objective), then the event the ad set optimizes for — like “Results” in Ads Manager — then the event implied by the campaign objective. For Google, it is the conversions and conversion value reported by Google Ads. Cost per result is spend divided by results, shown in the daily table, in totals and in the campaign tree.

If campaigns in a view optimize for different result types, the service does not add them up blindly: mixed result types are labeled, and totals are shown only where they are comparable.

Why it helps

  • Compare campaigns by what actually matters to the business.
  • Cost per lead or per purchase at campaign, ad set and ad level.
  • No inflated totals from mixing link clicks with purchases.

How to set it up

  1. Set the “Client KPI event” in the client's settings if the client has a main goal (for example, Lead).
  2. Open Analytics for the account and period.
  3. Read the Results and Cost per result columns; expand campaigns for ad sets and ads.

Good to know

  • Result counts depend on the platform's attribution settings.
  • Conversions from different platforms are never summed as if they were the same.
